SUMMARY:Presenter Series: Agile Party Planning
DESCRIPTION:This a continuation of our Presenter Series. The presenter series is onsite only and seeks to bring in leading speakers to share their experiences in order to provoke new ideas and challenge existing paradigms within the agile space. \nJoin us as Ben van Glabbeek presents on “Agile Party Planning”. \nDescription:Agile Party Planning – How to keep the management team from crashing your agile methods party. \nNo one wants to be left out of the party but when we start talking about agile methods that’s what we do to the managers. They are left to the side and asked to be servant leaders without any guidance. Let’s explore how to enable and empower the management team with new tools so they are welcomed instead of crashing the party. \nMore about Ben van Glabbeek:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ben-van-glabbeek/

SUMMARY:All Things Agile Gwinnett (ATAG)
DESCRIPTION:The May meetup agenda will start off with lunch sponsored by Genuent. Once everyone has had a chance to get settled\, we will kickoff the meetup with brief individual introductions (10 secs each). \nThe event will then move to our guest speaker\, Daniel Mezick (http://newtechusa.net/danielmezick/) who be presenting via Zoom video. Daniel is an author\, consultant\, expert on enterprise business agility and extending adaptive agile culture beyond software. He is a frequent keynote speaker on self-management and business agility at industry conferences worldwide. For the ATAG May meetup he will covering the topic of his latest book Inviting Leadership (https://www.amazon.com/Inviting-Leadership-Invitation-Based-ChangeTM-World/dp/0984875352) that he and Mark Sheffield have co-authored. \nThe second half of the event we will use the Lean Coffee (http://leancoffee.org/) format. Lean Coffee is a structured\, but agenda-less meeting. Participants will gather\, build an agenda (backlog of topics)\, and begin the discussion. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting is democratically generated. \nWe will close the meetup with a “Rapid Retrospective” (5 minutes) covering what was beneficial to the group and what could be enhanced in future ATAG meetups. \nThe total event time is scheduled for ~1.5 hrs. \nPlease arrive a few minutes early because attendees will need to sign in at the front desk. Parking is available in front of the building and behind the building. Please park on the M3 side since the other side of the lot is owned by SAGE. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nWalt and Derwin

SUMMARY:Workshop: Having fun generating Synthetic Data for test
DESCRIPTION:New regulations and increasing awareness of the importance of protecting data has caused companies to lock down data systems. Not having high-quality data leads to a variety of issues including making it more difficult to find bugs. In this workshop\, we will look at a variety of ways to populate your dev/staging environments with high-quality synthetic data that is similar to your production data. \nWe will accomplish this as a group by looking at a variety of data sets and going through each in an organized fashion while discussing the pros and cons of various techniques. \nThis workshop will be fun but also technical. By technical\, we don’t mean you need to be a math whiz\, but we will challenge your data insights and encourage you to push the analytical envelope. \nPresenterAdam Kamor (adam@tonic.ai). Since completing his PhD in Physics at Georgia Tech\, Adam has committed himself to furthering the work of others through the programs he develops. He is currently head of engineering at Tonic (https://tonic.ai)\, the platform for generating synthetic data. \nHow to find usThe location is in Inman Park. The address is 691 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE Suite C\, Atlanta\, GA 30312. This event is located at Alkaloid Networks Coworking. When you enter the courtyard from John Wesley Dobbs Ave\, look for a red door in the far left corner. SUMMARY:Agile Lunch Bunch @Boosterthon (Mansell/400)

If you want to propose a Lightning Talk\, feel go with the standard Agile Alliance conference format of 3 min slideless\, 5 slides in 5 min\, or 7 min Pecha Kucha (20 slides\, 20 sec). \nThen we’ll shift to an adapted Lean Coffee format (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuQCNkF4uO8) so come load our backlog with your interests\, questions\, and ideas. We’ve had great feedback on how the ensuing dialogue will really get a feel for the “pulse” of the Atlanta Agile community. Consistently strong engagement and interactions have sparked our learning. \nLunch will be provided! Please keep the input on how to best optimize and evolve the dialogue! \nSee you all there! \nRob Phillips \n(678) 557-9522

SUMMARY:All Things Agile Gwinnett (ATAG)
DESCRIPTION:The agenda will start with a short lunch (15 minutes) sponsored by Genuent. After lunch\, we will start the meetup with brief individual introductions (10 secs each) and then move to the Lean Coffee (http://leancoffee.org/) format. \nThe total event time is scheduled for 1.5 hrs. \nPlease arrive a few minutes early because attendees will need to sign in at the front desk. Parking is available in front of the building and behind the building. Please park on the M3 side since the other side of the lot is owned by SAGE. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nWalt and Derwin
