SUMMARY:Agile Lunch Bunch @ Haynes Br/Ga400 (Improving)
DESCRIPTION:Agenda begins with optional Lightning Talk “Openers” before moving into Lean Coffee format. If you want to propose a Lightning Talk\, feel go with the standard Agile Alliance conference format of 3 min slideless\, 5 slides in 5 min\, or 7 min Pecha Kucha (20 slides\, 20 sec). \nThen we’ll shift to an adapted Lean Coffee format (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhG-A-kRPAU) so come load our backlog with your interests\, questions\, and ideas. We’ve had great feedback on how the ensuing dialogue will really get a feel for the “pulse” of the Atlanta Agile community. Consistently strong engagement and interactions have sparked our learning. \nLunch will be provided! Please keep the input on how to best optimize and evolve the dialogue! \nSee you all there! \nRob Phillips \n(678) 557-9522

SUMMARY:All Things Agile Gwinnett (ATAG)
DESCRIPTION:The next ATAG Meetup on Thursday\, March 19th at 5:30pm will be hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College and our partner ITEC professors. We would like to expose the Software Development and Management Information Systems students to an Agile meetup with business professionals and create a real world learning opportunity for them. \nWe will use the Lean Coffee (http://leancoffee.org/) format for our topics discussion. Lean Coffee is a structured\, but agenda-less meeting. Participants will gather\, build an agenda (backlog of topics)\, and begin the discussion. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting is democratically generated. \nWe will close the meetup with a “Rapid Retrospective” (5 minutes) covering what was beneficial to the group and what could be enhanced in future ATAG meetups. \nThe total event time is scheduled for ~1.5 hrs. \nPlease arrive a few minutes early to get parked and make your way into the building. Visitor parking is available in the B parking lot. There may be limited spaces available by the W building also starting at 5:15. Campus overflow parking is available in the 3000 parking lot which is west of the W building. Both the B and 3000 lots are a short 5 minute walk to the W building. \nWe will be meeting in Building W\, Room 2234. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nWalt and Derwin

SUMMARY:Transitioning from Manual to Test Automation on Mobile - Online Event
DESCRIPTION:About the event:If you’ve spent any amount of time doing manual testing\, you’ve probably thought\, “There has to be a faster way to do this.” Mobile Test Automation can be a great way to start reducing the time it takes to regression test and improving the speed in which you release updates. Join us as Colby discusses what it takes to make the jump from manually testing mobile to mobile automation. We will cover the knowledge\, tools\, and support you’ll need to be successful in mobile automation. \nAbout the speaker:Colby is a Software Engineer in Test for Wahoo Fitness. His natural love of problem-solving had him working on automating things before he knew the term test automation. Naturally\, he moved into testing and from there to test automation\, helping Wahoo make the jump from manual to automated regression testing. Though relatively new to test automation\, Colby is eager to become active in the testing community\, helping share what he has learned while also learning from the experience of others. \nPlease note this will be an online event. We will be airing the event virtually via zoom: https://salesloft.zoom.us/j/3835705958

SUMMARY:Workshop: Getting Started in Test Automation
DESCRIPTION:The discipline of software QA is increasingly becoming more technical\, often requiring testers to use (and know how to use) test automation. For experienced QAs who haven’t worked with test automation before\, or new QAs who are trying to break into the field\, this can sometimes pose a difficult challenge: where do you start\, if you lack opportunities for training or experience? What resources exist out there that one can use to learn about automation technologies and practices? This workshop will focus on how you can get started in test automation on your own\, using publicly available tools and information. We’ll provide an overview of what the most popular open-source technologies are for different types of test automation\, how you can use those tools\, and how you can go about practicing your automation skills on your own.So make sure to bring your computers as well as your questions around test automation. \nPresentersMore about our presenters:Curtis Matthews (linkedin.com/in/curtis-matthews-9441a014) is Software Engineering Manager for Accuity\, Inc. in Kennesaw\, GA\, where he leads a team specializing in developing test automation tools and frameworks\, build & cloud deployment automation and CI/CD for Accuity’s flagship anti-money-laundering (AML) software platform. Curtis has 20 years of experience in software QA management for companies such as Emerson\, Home Depot\, and Triton Digital. His specialty and his passion is helping growing companies with their unique challenges for scaling QA capabilities\, especially by effectively applying automation tools and processes.Carlton Jones (https://www.linkedin.com/in/carltonwjones/) is a Senior Quality Test Engineer for Accuity\, Inc. in Kennesaw\, GA\, where he continually drives for higher quality software through automation and QA best practices. Visitor parking is available in the B parking lot or 3000 parking lot. Both lots are a short 5 minute walk to the W building. There may be limited spaces available by the W building also. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nWalt and Derwin

SUMMARY:Agile Lunch Bunch @AgileThought (GA400/Abernathy)
